This last month, The Familiar has won two more festival awards and garnered six festival nominations. In the winning circle, Seattle’s Maelstrom International Fantasy Film Festival gave the film the Audience Award for Best Horror Short and England’s Bram Stoker Film Festival awarded the film Best Short Film. As well as being one of Bram Stoker’s best received film, The Familiar had a standing applause that lasted several minutes.

The film was also nominated for six awards at the Buffalo Screams Horror Festival, including Best Horror Short, Best Director (Kody Zimmermann), Best Screenplay (Kody Zimmermann), Best Actor (Torrance Coombs), Best Actor (Paul Hubbard) and Best Cinematography (George Campbell).
