US REVIEWI cannot tell you how disappointed I am in US, especially since Jordan Peele continues to show he’s about as good as it gets as a director — especially in the horror genre.  US [...]

THE CHANGELING

By |2018-11-01T13:53:45+00:00November 1st, 2018|Tales of Me|

THE CHANGELING I wanted to end my Halloween Marathon with one of my favorites, so I put on The Changeling. For one, that damned poster scarred me as a kid and is a testament to [...]

SLEEPY HOLLOW

By |2018-10-31T07:09:52+00:00October 31st, 2018|Tales of Me|

SLEEPY HOLLOW Sleepy Hollow is the ultimate Halloween movie and probably the best Tim Burton film where his manic, unique vision is firing on all cylinders. Everything in it pops. The actors, from Miranda Richardson [...]

DRACULA 2000

By |2018-10-30T13:56:22+00:00October 30th, 2018|Tales of Me|

DRACULA 2000 I’m one of seven people that actually like Dracula 2000. We're a special breed, known for our tolerance of movies that are “hip and happening… in the tradition of Wes Craven’s Scream” (to quote [...]

CUJO

By |2018-10-29T15:48:19+00:00October 29th, 2018|Tales of Me|

By |2018-10-25T14:49:52+00:00October 25th, 2018|Tales of Me|

THE DEVIL'S RAIN I’m not the smartest guy in the room, and sometimes that room is just filled with me and my two dogs. But I’m not the dumbest guy either, and I can’t for [...]

STEPHEN KING’S NIGHTSHIFT COLLECTION

By |2018-10-24T15:06:00+00:00October 24th, 2018|Tales of Me|

STEPHEN KING’S NIGHTSHIFT COLLECTION Last night’s Halloween flick forced me to track down the dust-covered VCR in the back of my storage closet and fire it up one more time. I can’t remember what took [...]

RACE WITH THE DEVIL

By |2018-10-23T13:35:50+00:00October 23rd, 2018|Tales of Me|

RACE WITH THE DEVIL As much as I like going to my local drive-in to watch Spider-Man Homecoming and War for the Planet of the Apes, I wish it would play movies that a good, [...]
